La Costa participó del lanzamiento de la Red Argentina de Destinos Turísticos Inteligentes que se realizó a través de videoconferencias y que inauguró un espacio pensado para desarrollar el intercambio de experiencias y conocimientos entre los gobiernos municipales, organismos nacionales y provinciales, instituciones académicas, organizaciones de bien público y representantes del sector privado.
La iniciativa presentada por el Instituto Ciudades del Futuro tiene como objetivo fomentar la generación de destinos turísticos innovadores y sostenibles, consolidados sobre una infraestructura tecnológica que se oriente, entre otras cuestiones, a asegurar un desarrollo humano sostenible del territorio turístico, promoviendo la inclusión e integración social y la accesibilidad universal, incrementar la calidad de la experiencia turística en el territorio y mejorar la calidad de vida de los residentes fomentando la participación ciudadana.
Además, el proyecto se propone abordar como ejes la obtención y sistematización de información de perfiles de turistas para mejorar la promoción digital del destino y de sus prestadores turísticos y también la gestión de la información sobre productos turísticos y sobre los prestadores turísticos del destino para gestionar capacidades, necesidades, beneficios y demandas.
La presentación de la Red-DTI contó con ponencias realizadas por diferentes autoridades institucionales y prestigiosos expositores nacionales e internacionales y con la presencia virtual de más de 80 municipios de toda Argentina, acompañados por Universidades Nacionales y Privadas; organizaciones de profesionales; funcionarios del Ministerio de Turismo y Deportes de la Nación y de numerosos organismos provinciales de turismo del país; como así también de representantes de otros países como Paraguay, Chile, República Dominicana, Colombia, Brasil, España, Costa Rica y Francia.
