Promotoras de Género accedieron a la beca municipal
Desde el año pasado, el Frente de Mujeres Evita de La Costa, capacita a trabajadoras y militantes en temas vinculados a la perspectiva de género, la educación sexual y la salud reproductiva. De allí surgieron las Promotoras de género, que recorren los barrios brindando apoyo y asesoramiento a aquellas que necesitan ser escuchadas. Esta semana, tras varios meses de haberlo consensuado con las autoridades municipales, finalmente comenzaron a recibir sus becas.
“Si tenés una duda y querés asesoramiento. Si precisás que alguien te escuche. Si surge una emergencia y necesitás ayuda. Estamos cerca tuyo” es la consigna de las Promotoras de Género ‘Las violetas’, que el último jueves comenzaron a percibir el complemento económico acordado con las autoridades municipales en el mes de marzo, el cual definen como una conquista dada en base a lucha y organización.
En aquella ocasión, la referente de Mujeres Evita, Vanesa Ottone, y la responsable del Movimiento Evita de La Costa, Celeste Ramírez, mantuvieron una reunión con el Secretario Municipal de Desarrollo Social, Facundo Nores, y la Directora de Género, Malena Farías, en la cual se acordó la conformación de una mesa de articulación para abordar las diferentes herramientas que maneja el área, y la implementación de un sistema de becas para las primeras egresadas del Curso de Promotoras Territoriales de Género, que se dictó en Santa Teresita.
“Es una conquista con un valor simbólico muy significativo, ya que son las primeras promotoras reconocidas a nivel local y provincial, y sienta un precedente para que otros distritos nos citen como ejemplo. En estos momentos en que las mujeres somos protagonistas visibles, es importante comunicarle a la sociedad costera que hay espacios más allá de los que ofrece el Estado, donde pueden acercarse a pedir ayuda, y recibir contención”, expresó Ottone.
“Las violetas” surgieron a partir de la consulta popular “Vivas nos queremos”, realizada en 2017, con el objetivo de visualizar el tema, advirtiendo la falta de políticas públicas en torno al género en la Provincia de Buenos Aires.
“Desde los movimientos populares venimos trabajando por generar unidad en la acción y en ese sentido, este logro se ha conseguido con organización y lucha. Esta reivindicación forma parte de los temas que abordamos y de los que el Estado no se hace cargo, como puede ser el consumo problemático en los jóvenes o la cuestión habitacional en los barrios populares”, manifestó Celeste Ramirez.
Esta primera promoción del Partido de Costa, tiene residencia en zona centro, en el local ubicado en el Barrio Las Quintas de Santa Teresita, en calle 13 entre 42 y 43, con horarios de atención los días lunes, miércoles y viernes, de 9.30 a 11.30, y martes y jueves de 14.30 a 16.30.
