La iniciativa se desarrolla con un sistema de turnos previos. En la web de La Costa se podrán encontrar los días y horarios disponibles para las localidades de zona centro.
La campaña de castraciones gratuitas para perros y gatos continúa su recorrida por las localidades y esta semana se encuentra en Santa Teresita. La iniciativa se lleva adelante con turnos previos a los cuales se puede acceder a través de la web de La Costa desde Turnos Castraciones
Esta política de cuidado animal, impulsada por la gestión del intendente Cristian Cardozo, también estará acompañada en el Hospital Veterinario Móvil del servicio de vacunación antirrábica gratuita.
Esta semana, la campaña se lleva adelante en el Centro Comunitario barrio Parque Golf, en calles 103 y 125 de Santa Teresita.
Se recuerda a los vecinos y vecinas que las castraciones están destinadas a perros y gatos de ambos sexos, de más de 6 meses de edad, sin necesidad de haber tenido algún celo o crías, y que al momento de realizar el procedimiento el animal deberá tener 12 horas de ayuno de sólidos y líquidos.
Asimismo, se solicita a la comunidad llevar una manta o sábana para trasladar al perro o gato dormido una vez que concluya la cirugía. En especial en el caso de los gatos se recomienda transportarlos de manera tal que eviten poner nervioso al felino y complicar el accionar de los profesionales de la dirección de Cuidado Animal antes de aplicar la anestesia pre quirúrgica.
Como es de público conocimiento y con el objetivo de cuidarnos entre todos, se pide también a los vecinos y vecinas que lleven a sus mascotas a las castraciones utilizar tapabocas y tener en cuenta todas las medidas preventivas para cuidar la salud de la comunidad.
El cronograma de castraciones, en el horario de 9.00 a 13.30, continuará de la siguiente manera:
