GENERAL LAVALLE: La Fiesta de la Torta Negra, una tradición que se convirtió en fiesta
Durante este 2020 la tradicional celebración se vio afectada por la pandemia por Coronavirus. Sin embargo, la comunidad recuerda este atractivo gastronómico que se transformó en turístico e impone a la ciudad como punto de referencia a la hora de viajar a la costa.
Por estos días la ciudad estaría de fiesta. Es que el domingo 7 hubiera sido la cuarta edición de la Fiesta de la Torta Negra. No obstante, desde la secretaría de cultura se recuerda y reconoce la labor constante y perseverante de la familia Latchuk que es el motor de la panadería “Del Pueblo”.
El año pasado unas 23.000 personas llegaron a General Lavalle para protagonizar largas colas y hacerse de, al menos, llevarse media docena de tortas negras.
Un horno a leña encendido por más de 48 horas, decenas de manos trabajando para alcanzar el objetivo de cocinar miles docenas de tortas negras y largas jornadas sin descanso. Con estas grandes acciones se puede resumir el trabajo que siempre encara la familia Latchuk a principios de junio.
Un secreto de tres generaciones que lleva agua, harina, grasa y cocción a leña –además de ingredientes secretos que desconocemos- y que comenzó a forjarse en 1959 con la instalación de la Panadería “Del Pueblo” y que hoy se mantiene vigente gracias a varios hermanos.
