Hoy, en un nuevo parte desde el ministerio de Salud de la Nación se brindó información sobre la situación epidemiológica del nuevo coronavirus, las medidas implementadas y recomendaciones a personas con VIH.

“Al día de la fecha según los datos registrados en la Argentina tenemos confirmados 745 casos, de los cuales el 58, 7 por ciento corresponde a varones, la edad media es de 43 años. EL 55 por ciento están relacionados con viajes y se registra transmisión comunitaria en el área metropolitana Buenos Aires y en el Chaco. La transmisión local en conglomerados la observamos en Santa Fe, Córdoba y en Tierra del Fuego. 19 son las provincias que se han comunicado y se han confirmados casos, 19 son los fallecidos actualmente con una edad media de 70 años.” Expresó el subsecretario de Estrategias Sanitarias, Alejandro Costa al inicio del informe.
Por su parte, la secretaria de Acceso a la Salud del ministerio de Salud, ante la situación diaria y dinámica del virus, destacó “que ayer haya habido 55 nuevos casos confirmados significa que estamos trabajando fuertemente y que tenemos que ver los próximos días cómo va evolucionando.”
En relación a la descentralización del diagnóstico del COVID-19, Vizzotti informó que “en este marco de ampliar el diagnóstico como contamos en el dìa de ayer, el ANLIS Malbrán ha realizado la distribución a 10 provincias y entre hoy y mañana se está distribuyendo al resto de las provincias 14 provincias que faltan para poder descentralizar a los 35 laboratorios las pruebas diagnósticas.”
Recomendaciones a personas con VIH
“La información disponible hasta el momento que es limitada en relación a Coronavirus en personas con VIH no ha demostrado que este grupo sea un grupo en particular donde el impacto sea mayor, es decir que tenga una mayor frecuencia o una mayor gravedad el coronavirus en personas con VIH. De todas formas la recomendación continúa siendo el distanciamiento social preventivo y obligatorio.” Informó Analía Urueña (Médica Infectóloga).
“Es importante resaltar en este contexto que todas las personas con VIH que tengan su diagnóstico confirmado y aún no hayan iniciado tratamiento retroviral, lo inicien y aquellas personas que vienen recibiendo su tratamiento, lo continúen y no lo suspendan.” continuó detallando Urueña.
“En este contexto, aclaramos que la dispensación del tratamiento retroviral continúa y está garantizada y las diferentes jurisdicciones evalúan y disponen cómo será esa entrega de medicación, si continúa por los canales habituales o buscan una vía alternativa para evitar el contacto de las personas con VIH con el centro asistencial” finalizó la infectóloga.
