Las castraciones gratuitas para perros y gatos continúan en septiembre en San Clemente y Las Toninas
La Municipalidad de La Costa continúa con su programa de castraciones gratuitas para caninos y felinos. Durante septiembre, el servicio estará presente en el barrio El Tala de San Clemente y luego arribará a Las Toninas.
La atención se brinda por orden de llegada, de 9.00 a 10.00, y el servicio se suspende en caso de lluvias, por lo que se recomienda verificar las condiciones climáticas antes de asistir.
Se concede un turno por cada animal y el responsable debe presentar su documento de identidad, confirmando que es mayor de edad. Además, se requiere que permanezcan en el lugar hasta que finalice la cirugía para firmar un consentimiento.
Es importante tener en cuenta que la campaña está dirigida a canes mayores de 6 meses. En el caso de las gatas, también se pueden esterilizar a partir de los 6 meses, mientras que los gatos machos deben tener al menos 8 meses.
Cada día se realizan un máximo de 15 castraciones de perros y 20 castraciones de gatos, lo que garantiza una atención de calidad y evita la sobrecarga del servicio.
El animal debe contar con 12 horas de ayuno sólido y líquido, sin exceder este período. La última comida debe ser la habitual del animal. Además, la mascota debe estar limpia y seca, y se recomienda llevar una manta para abrirla después de la intervención.
En el caso de los perros, es necesario que lleven collar y correa, y si son agresivos o de gran tamaño, también deben contar con un bozal. Para los gatos, se recomienda transportarlos en una bolsa con ventilación adecuada.
El móvil de castraciones se ha convertido en una herramienta fundamental para controlar la población de animales domésticos y mejorar su calidad de vida, además de contribuir a la reducción de animales abandonados en las calles.
