A través de un trabajo conjunto entre el gobierno de la Provincia y el Municipio, el Partido de La Costa recibió un nuevo ecógrafo de última generación que se suma al sistema de Salud para continuar brindando mejor atención a los vecinos y vecinas.
El intendente Cristian Cardozo recibió la nueva aparatología que será destinada al Hospital de Mar de Ajó y permitirá un diagnóstico rápido de patologías respiratorias y abdominales.
En este marco, el secretario de Salud de la Municipalidad de La Costa, Marcelo Melgarejo, explicó: “Se trata de un ecógrafo de última generación, es un método de diagnóstico complementario imprescindible hoy en día. Poder hacer una ecografía al pie de la cama de un paciente es un elemento base en el examen físico que nos permite un diagnóstico rápido y en el momento, lo cual en muchos casos ayuda a tomar decisiones terapéuticas inmediatas”.
El profesional agradeció “a la gestión del intendente Cristian Cardozo y a la contribución inestimable del gobernador, Axel Kicillof, que nos permite contar con este nuevo elemento de diagnóstico para enfermedades abdominales y respiratorias”. Y remarcó: “En el contexto de pandemia donde se producen tantas enfermedades pulmonares esta tecnología nos permite hacer diagnóstico de compromiso pulmonar, compromiso cardíaco y abdominal lo cual nos posibilita tomar inmediatas decisiones terapéuticas”.
Este nuevo equipamiento se suma a las nuevas camas de internación para el área de alta y media complejidad, que están equipadas con oxígeno central, además de incorporar más camas para el área de guardia en el hospital de Mar de Ajó.
“Esto viene a complementar un proceso que llevamos adelante encabezado por nuestro intendente en lo que es el agregado de camas para la atención del paciente Covid, lo cual es fundamental en esta época de pandemia donde estamos enfrentando una crecida de casos y el sistema de salud tiene que estar preparado para este tipo de contingencias”, señaló Melgarejo.
