Destacadas actuaciones de atletas del Centro Municipal de Alto Rendimiento
Cada uno en su disciplina, los atletas costeros que se entrenan en el Centro de Alto Rendimiento Deportivo (CEMARD), se destacaron en diferentes competencias, como el ciclista Lucas Vilar, la tenista Lara Díaz Zaya y el boxeador Francisco Gopar.
Luego de su consagración en el Campeonato Argentino de Ciclismo y mientras se prepara para viajar a Suiza como parte del equipo nacional que se preparará para el Panamericano de México y el Mundial de Pista en caminos suizos, Vilar repitió otra gran performance, esta vez en la categoría Junior, en la cuarta edición del Gran Fondo de Buenos Aires, que convocó a 1.400 ciclistas de todo el país.
Lucas tuvo un ritmo arrollador en los 100 kilómetros de la competencia que se desarrolló en un circuito urbano comprendido entre varios barrios de la Ciudad y el Gran Buenos Aires. El joven costero fue el mejor de la categoría Junior con un tiempo de 1:51.35, encabezando un podio que se completó con Agustín Ramírez y Matías Sosa. Además, Lucas se ubicó en el puesto 21 de la clasificación general que fue ganada por Lucas Gaday.
Por el lado del tenis, Lara Díaz Zaya alcanzó la final del 2° Abierto que la Asociación Argentina de Tenis organizó en el Club Sociedad Sportiva de Bahía Blanca, donde cayó en la final ante la tenista local Valentina Balanda (103° del ránking), tras batallar por casi 3 horas en el triunfo sobre la rionegrina Juliana Morales Berón (25° del ránking), por una de las semifinales.
En su primera temporada dentro de la categoría Sub-14, la jugadora de Nueva Atlantis continúa acumulando buenos rendimientos y resultados que le permiten seguir escalando en el ránking argentino y ubicarse actualmente en el puesto 23.
En tanto, el joven boxeador Francisco Gopar ganó en su última pelea como amateur y ya prepara su debut profesional, programado para el próximo 21 de julio en La Costa. Ante su público en la Sociedad de Fomento de San Bernardo, Francisco pudo ser contundente y ganar por la vía rápida en el segundo asalto ante el boxeador de La Plata, Pablo Ezequiel. La velada de boxeo tuvo también el triunfo en fallo unánime de Julio Rueda, de San Clemente, exhibiciones, y la presencia de la triple campeona del mundo, Yésica Bopp.
