El Intendente Costero recorrió la puesta en valor de la histórica Vereda Alta de San Bernardo
El intendente del Partido de La Costa, Juan Pablo de Jesús, recorrió la obra de revalorización del primer centro comercial que tuvo la localidad de San Bernardo, la tradicional Vereda Alta de la Avenida Chiozza.
“Es un proyecto que llevamos adelante en conjunto con los comerciantes de la cuadra, que tiene como objetivo poner en valor una de las primeras construcciones con movimiento comercial de la localidad”, indicó el jefe comunal, que recorrió la zona junto al secretario de Comunicación y Modernización del Estado, Cristian Cardozo.
“Es un atractivo que tiene San Bernardo y queremos recuperar su espíritu original como primer centro comercial”, agregó Juan Pablo sobre el sitio que que fue construido a mediados de la década del 40.
Durante su visita, el intendente dialogó con vecinos que caminaban por la zona y que se mostraron muy contentos por esta nueva obra, que va en la línea del programa municipal Viva la Historia, que investiga detalles históricos de nuestro distrito para poner en valor y destaque.
En la ocasión, Juan Pablo de Jesús conversó con el pionero Enrique Parra, que fue el primero en nacer en San Bernardo, y que actualmente es propietario del puesto de diarios y revistas que funciona desde hace décadas en la llamada Vereda Alta.
La primera etapa de la obra de mejoras de la Vereda Alta que lleva adelante la Municipalidad de La Costa culminará previo al inicio de la temporada de verano. Tiene como objetivo recuperar este espacio como atractivo turístico y revalorizarlo como patrimonio histórico.
