Argentina superó las 68 millones de vacunas recibidas y en pocos días la mitad de la población tendrá las dos dosis
La Argentina superó las 68 millones de vacunas contra el Covid-19recibidas con la llegada el lunes por la noche de un cargamento de más de 540 mil dosis del fármaco elaborado por AstraZeneca, en el marco del Plan de Vacunación Nacional.
El nuevo lote, de 549.600 dosis, fue donado por Canadá a través del Mecanismo Covax, la iniciativa global para el acceso equitativo a las vacunas contra la enfermedad que causa el virus SARS-CoV-2, y arribó al aeropuerto internacional de Ezeiza a las 21.15 en el vuelo UC1101 de la empresa LATAM Cargo Colombia.
Recibieron el cargamento en la terminal aérea la directora de Relaciones Internacionales del ministerio de Salud, Carla Moretti, junto al embajador de Canadá, David Usher; el asesor internacional en Sistemas y Servicios de la Salud de la OPS, Javier Uribe, y la representante de UNICEF, Olga Isabel Isaza.
Según informó oficialmente el Gobierno nacional, en siete días el país recibió casi seis millones de vacunas de los diferentes laboratorios que «permitirán completar esquemas y seguir escalando el Plan Estratégico de Vacunación que se impulsa en todo el territorio».
