“Fue el más chico de todos, el más grande fue de Bolivia a San clemente con 3.360 km en 31 días” destacó el deportista costero que, junto a patinadores, ciclistas y maratonistas, participaron del Raid.
El inicio fue a las 14 horas en la rotonda de Mar de Ajó y concluyó aproximadamente a las 17 horas en la rotonda de San Clemente donde una enorme caravana de autos esperaba su llegada junto a más deportistas amigos y vecinos quienes acompañaron la entrada hasta la plaza de las Banderas.
«El secreto de mantenerse tanto tiempo es patinar, no hay que dejar de moverse, alimentarse lo más sano posible, estoy muy contento porque se realizó todo bien y muy tranquilo”, agregó Paolini.
Por su parte, Ivana Paolini hija de Popi, expresó que para ella y todos los presentes, es una gran admiración la que se tienen con su padre, un ejemplo a seguir “tiene 80 años, lo ves y es un ejemplo, es muy difícil llegar a esa edad y tener esa actitud y esas ganas, así que muy contenta” cerró.
Además, el Secretario de deportes Gustavo Leiva acompañó la llegada de los deportistas en San Clemente y comentó, “Me llevo mucho, el cariño a Popi, el reconocimiento para alguien que ha dado tanto, hacer lo que ha hecho por La Costa y por San Clemente en esos principios cuando no había polideportivos y haber hecho mucho para que se pueda construir tanto y el deporte en La Costa crezca, fue muy lindo verlo ponerse los patines en la rotonda de Mar de Ajó cuando salíamos y bueno quería estar acá en la llegada porque este es un homenaje que él se merece” finalizó.
