This year there was the debut of the students of the Municipal School of Handball of Mar de Ajó in the prestigious League of the Atlantic Handball Association, with the presence of their women’s teams of minors, cadets and youth.
There are currently 32 federated coastal athletes who participate every weekend in a contest that brings together the best teams in the region. “This is a very high level tournament, it is a step we should take for the growth we had in recent years. The girls are learning a lot in each game, ” explained the head of the Municipal Handball Schools, Maximiliano Sposaro.
«The support of the Municipality has been key so that, in this case, Handball as a sport has such an important growth, and for the first time in history, La Costa has 3 teams competing in national federated competition , » he added.
In addition, the participation in this championship has made possible the visit to the Municipal Sports Center of Mar de Ajó of Rauch, Maipú, Necochea and Mar del Plata teams.
