Emotivo acto en La Costa por el Día del Veterano y los Caídos en Malvinas
La comunidad del Partido de La Costa conmemoró el Día del Veterano y de los Caídos en la Guerra de Malvinas con un emotivo acto realizado en la localidad de Las Toninas. Como es tradicional, antes del encuentro central se realizó evocaciones particulares a los distintos héroes de Malvinas oriundos de La Costa.
El intendente Juan Pablo de Jesús comenzó el 2 de abril en Mar de Ajó, dejando una ofrenda floral en el monumento a Héctor Dufrechou, el marinero fallecido en Malvinas. Poco más tarde, Juan Pablo homenajeó al soldado Aldo Omar Ferreyra en el Polideportivo de Santa Teresita, que lleva su nombre. Y luego hizo lo propio en la Plaza del Niño Jesús, también en Santa Teresita, para recordar al soldado José Luis Rodríguez.
El homenaje central se realizó en la Plaza Malvinas Argentinas y contó con la presencia de numerosos vecinos, representantes de instituciones, legisladoras provinciales, funcionarios municipales, establecimientos educativos y fuerzas. En este marco, Juan Pablo destacó la importancia de esta fecha para los argentinos y la necesidad de que el homenaje sea permanente, ante lo cual anunció por ejemplo que la Diagonal B de Las Toninas, que está siendo asfaltada y tendrá también luminaria LED, pasará a llamarse Héroes de Malvinas.
“La causa Malvinas nos une a todos los argentinos. En La Costa vivimos esta fecha con mucha intensidad y eso queda demostrado en la cantidad de instituciones que se acercaron a esta plaza para ser parte de esta conmemoración”, expresó el intendente.
“En reuniones que hemos tenido con veteranos de Malvinas coincidimos en que la causa no debe quedar solamente en una fecha. Lo que hicieron estos hombres por defender la patria merece un reconocimiento permanente y nos deja la enorme responsabilidad de seguir luchando por la soberanía. En La Costa vamos a hacer todo lo posible para que esta lucha no haya sido en vano y siempre vamos a bregar por la causa Malvinas, por nuestros derechos soberanos”, agregó.
