LA PLATA Kicillof le tomó juramento al nuevo ministro de Trabajo de la Provincia
El gobernador de la provincia de Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, le tomó juramento esta mañana al nuevo ministro de Trabajo, Walter Correa. Fue durante un acto llevado a cabo en el teatro Metro de la ciudad de La Plata, junto a la vicegobernadora Verónica Magario.
En ese marco, Kicillof destacó que “con la designación de Walter Correa, estamos sumando a un hombre de principios y, sobre todo, por primera vez a un trabajador industrial de la provincia de Buenos Aires”. “El Ministerio de Trabajo seguirá apuntalando el modelo productivo y distributivo de la Provincia, defendiendo con fuerza los derechos de las y los trabajadores bonaerenses”, señaló.
Además, el Gobernador agradeció y valoró el desempeño de Mara Ruiz Malec, quien dejó el cargo para asumir nuevas responsabilidades en la AFIP. “Después de una etapa en la que se perseguía y se les armaban causas judiciales a los representantes de los trabajadores para avanzar sobre los derechos, inició una tarea muy importante de reconstrucción y de reparación del Ministerio de Trabajo de la Provincia”, indicó.
En tanto, Correa subrayó que “el Ministerio va a contar con un perfil territorial y un despliegue que le permita escuchar, asistir y articular al sector cooperativo y a las pequeñas y medianas empresas”. “Sabemos que tenemos las mejores condiciones para que haya inversión: muchos parques industriales y una inmejorable productividad de las y los trabajadores”, afirmó y añadió: “Disponemos de todo lo necesario para consolidar la provincia de Buenos Aires como el motor productivo de la Patria”.
Por último, Kicillof resaltó que “estamos viviendo tiempos muy importantes en los que debemos seguir cuidando la producción y el trabajo”. “Vamos a consolidar un Gobierno que es de las y los trabajadores y también de las y los empresarios que invierten en nuestro país”, concluyó.
Estuvieron presentes integrantes del gabinete provincial, representantes de todas las centrales obreras, más de 80 sindicatos, intendentes bonaerenses, legisladores y legisladoras nacionales y provinciales; y representantes de organizaciones sindicales.
Correa ocupa desde 2004 el cargo de secretario general del Sindicato de Obreros Curtidores de la República Argentina, en tanto que ejerce además su cuarto mandato como titular de la Federación Argentina de Trabajadores de la Industria del Cuero y Afines (FATICA) y encabeza la Obra Social OSPICA. Es también secretario general de la CGT – Regional Oeste (Merlo – Moreno – Marcos Paz), al tiempo que fue fundador de la Corriente Federal de Trabajadores – CGT. En 2013 fue electo concejal del partido de Moreno y durante 2017-2021 representó a la provincia de Buenos Aires en la Cámara de Diputados de la Nación, donde promovió proyectos para reformar el sistema de pensiones de los trabajadores del cuero y regular el teletrabajo, entre otras iniciativas.
