LUJÁN : Kicillof encabezó la apertura del primer Congreso Provincial de Agroecología
El gobernador de la provincia de Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, encabezó este viernes la apertura del primer Congreso Provincial de Agroecología, con la participación de diferentes referentes productivos, instituciones y organizaciones del sector. Fue en la Universidad Nacional de Luján (UNLu), junto al ministro de Desarrollo Agrario, Javier Rodriguez; el intendente local, Leonardo Boto; y el rector de la institución, Walter Panessi.
En ese marco, Kicillof afirmó: “Hace algunos años era impensado contar con lineamientos en materia de agroecología en la provincia de Buenos Aires: hoy, producto de políticas públicas, estamos participando de un encuentro que deja muy claro que avanzamos hacia la construcción de sistemas agroalimentarios sostenibles”. “Ese modelo tiene que ser con valor agregado, con sustentabilidad ambiental, con ciencia y con innovación tecnológica: es decir, apuntamos a un cambio en el modelo de alimentación con soberanía nacional”, agregó.
En ese sentido, el Gobernador señaló que “las universidades públicas tienen un rol indispensable para ello, ya que llevan adelante un gran trabajo de extensión y de presencia en las comunidades, dando cuenta de la situación social y productiva en cada región de nuestra provincia”. “Es por eso que, mientras el Gobierno nacional abandona y ataca a las universidades, nosotros invertimos en ellas porque comprendemos que juegan un papel fundamental para el desarrollo y el futuro de nuestro país”, explicó.
El congreso funcionará como un espacio de diálogo y construcción colectiva para aportar alternativas ante los desafíos de la producción agroecológica, y tiene como objetivo central promover un sistema alimentario más justo y sostenible.
En tanto, Rodríguez destacó que “Buenos Aires es la primera provincia en contar con un plan integral de promoción de la agroecología, porque entendemos que no podemos pensar en producir si no pensamos a la vez en garantizar la sustentabilidad.” “Hoy contamos con incentivos para la implementación de buenas prácticas agrícolas, líneas de financiamiento para acompañar a productores y productoras que quieran realizar la transición a la agroecología; y llevamos adelante investigaciones y ensayos en nuestras Chacras Experimentales para avanzar hacia una producción cada vez más sustentable”, señaló.
«Este congreso parte del nuevo paradigma de producir alimentos de calidad, de reducir el impacto sobre el ambiente y de lograr que las sociedades se alimenten de una manera más sana y sostenible”, afirmó Boto y remarcó: “Este encuentro se logró realizar, como tantas otras cosas en el municipio, gracias al apoyo continuo que tenemos de parte de la Provincia”.
Durante dos jornadas se desarrollarán mesas de debate, intercambios de experiencias y presentaciones de proyectos agroecológicos con ejes en temas vinculados a los sistemas productivos, comercialización y agregado de valor, acceso a la tierra, hábitat y ambiente, entre otros.
“Estamos en un encuentro muy importante que nuclea espacios de diálogo respecto de la calidad de los alimentos, de las producciones amigables con el ambiente y de la ecología, todos pilares fundamentales para nuestra universidad”, sostuvo el rector Panessi y añadió: “Este momento tan complejo para la educación pública lo podemos enfrentar gracias a una provincia que, por primera vez, comprende que las universidades públicas tenemos un papel estratégico”.
Por último, Kicillof remarcó: “En este contexto en el que se amplían las desigualdades, debemos fortalecer a un Estado presente para que millones de personas no se vean privadas de la salud, la educación y la alimentación”. “En la provincia de Buenos Aires estamos orgullosos de tener una mirada inclusiva, de desarrollo y de soberanía alimentaria para construir una sociedad más justa”, concluyó.
Participaron la jefa de Gabinete del Ministerio de Desarrollo Agrario, Viviana Di Marzio; la subsecretaria de Agricultura, Ganadería y Pesca, Carla Seain; y su par de Desarrollo Agrario y Calidad Agroalimentaria, Cristian Amarilla; la vicerrectora de la UNLu, María Ester Leguizamón; autoridades provinciales y funcionarios locales.
